While chatting with PEOPLE on the Academy Awards red carpet on Sunday, Van Halen, 32, and his wife, Andraia Allsop, joked about how they found that getting ready to attend Hollywood's biggest night had them more frazzled than their October 2023 nuptials. As for newlywed life with Allsop, the musician — who is the son Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli — told PEOPLE that not much has changed since the couple tied the knot at their Los Angeles home last fall, surrounded by 90 loved ones. They chose to marry at home — their ceremony took place in their living room, followed by a backyard reception — so they could "have privacy and just have our moment together with everyone," Allsop added.
