Wolfgang Van Halen Suggests David Lee Roth Insulted Him Because 'My Dad Isn't Here to Be a Target'

"I guess he went to the next best thing," said Wolfgang Van Halen in response to David Lee Roth's recent disparaging YouTube video about him.

"I’m honored [Roth] even thinks about me as much as he seems to," said Wolfgang, 32, who played bass alongside the rocker in Van Halen following founding member Michael Anthony's 2006 exit from the band. Roth's YouTube video, also shared to his Instagram account with the caption "This F---in Kid," opens with a fake interview that positions Wolfgang as Jesus Christ before ridiculing him for receiving an advantage due to nepotism. Wolfgang is then mocked by Roth, who alleges that he didn't pay attention to him on stage during their time in Van Halen together.
