Julie Bishop flaunted an excess of glamour during day one of Australian Fashion Week, but it seems the former politician was low on friends during the event.

Guests sitting either side of the former foreign minister appeared engrossed in their own conversations as she shuffled in her seat, pulling faces and expressing her opinions on different outfits displayed on the catwalk. The ex deputy leader of the Liberal Party looked effortlessly chic ahead of the first runway show that morning as she toted a $2,900 Louis Vuitton handbag and $1,490 Dior pumps. ' Honoured to receive Japan's highest award, Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, at an investiture ceremony with His Majesty the Emperor and Prime Minister Kishida at the Imperial Palace Tokyo today,' Julie captioned her post.
