Soapland loves a crossover cameo and keen viewers may have spotted some familiar faces popping up in the likes of Coronation Street, EastEnders and Emmerdale over the years
In the tongue-in-cheek scene from 2018, the chat show hosts had an "off camera" discussion about not being able to understand Professor Brian Cox, then greeted the Weatherfield trio who looked completely starstruck. Classic Emmerdale episodes are available to stream, but since Phil left This Morning after his affair with a younger male colleague emerged, he and the broadcaster have cut ties which appears to extend to the old cameo. Carol didn't have to head east to Walford for her star turn, as she featured in her usual role presenting the weather while an admiring Patrick Trueman watched while chatting to Denzel Danes.
