Ryan Reynolds stepped out to present the best film award to “ Wicked ” at the star-studded gala, marking his first public outing since his wife, Blake Lively, filed a formal complaint against her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. Although Bailey wasn’t in attendance to hear Reynold’s warning, members of the “Wicked” team, including Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, Ethan Slater and director Jon M. Chu, were present to accept the best film accolade. Other honorees included Erivo and Grande, saluted as a duo with the NBR Spotlight Award; “Anora” star Mikey Madison for breakthrough performance; Daniel Craig for best actor (“Queer”); Chu for best director (“Wicked”); Elle Fanning for best supporting actress (“A Complete Unknown”); Ralph Fiennes, Isabella Rossellini and John Lithgow for best ensemble (“Conclave”); Mike Leigh for best original screenplay (“Hard Truths”); Jarin Blaschke for outstanding achievement in cinematography (“Nosferatu”); India Donaldson for best directorial debut (“Good One”); and Clint Bent and Greg Kwedar for best adapted screenplay (“Sing Sing”).
