Ryan Rodney Reynolds is a Canadian and American actor. Throughout his 30-year career in film and television, he has received multiple accolades, including a Critics' Choice Movie Award, three People's Choice Awards, a Grammy and Golden Globe nomination, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Led by his several appearances as Deadpool in the 20th Century Fox X-Men films, he is one of the highest-grossing film actors of all time, with a worldwide box-office gross of over $5 billion. He began his career starring in the Canadian teen soap opera Hillside, and had minor roles before landing the lead role on the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl between 1998 and 2001. Reynolds then starred in a range of films, including comedies such as National Lampoon's Van Wilder, Waiting..., and The Proposal.
