Romesh Ranganathan says he's 'very nervous' as he opens his first BBC Radio 2 show after replacing Claudia Winkleman as host


The comedian, 46, nervously took over Claudia Winkelman's slot on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday.

It comes after Claudia shared a message of support to Romesh during her appearance on The One Show on Friday when host Alex Jones brought up her departure from the radio station. Sounding like she was on the edge of tears as her voice quivered, Claudia added: 'But my biggest thanks are to you the listeners, I have worked in telly for 24 years and I have never been more nervous than I was taking over for Graham [Norton] you were warm, welcoming, and so lovely to me... It comes after the radio host, who spent an astonishing 15 years on air, struggled to fight back tears as she wrapped up her final show at the end of March
