Marvel Recasting Spider-Man After Tom Holland Exits Role Over Creative Differences

Tom Holland is OUT as Spider-Man! Sony is set to recast the iconic role for the Marvel Cinematic Universe following a creative split with the actor.

While Marvel has been more than happy to wait until things were perfect, it seems the studio has finally split with the Peter Parker actor over a creative dispute. According to media reports, this difference comes from Tom Holland wanting a more “street-level” story for Spider-Man 4, whereas Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios wanted a buddy-cop movie with Peter Parker and Sydney Sweeney’s Julia Carpenter jumping universes to hunt down Jared Leto’s Morbius. Marvel is supposedly eyeing a number of actors for the role, including but not limited to Timothee Chalamet, Asa Butterfield, and Zac Efron.
