'Captain America: Brave New World' dominates Korea’s box office with $4 million while 'Secret: Untold Melody' holds second place.
The South Korean box office saw a major shake-up this weekend with the arrival of “ Captain America: Brave New World,” which took a commanding lead in its debut. The superhero epic attracted 583,851 viewers in its opening weekend, amassing a cumulative total of $5.5 million, according to Kobis, the tracking service operated by the Korean Film Council. Animation “Elli and Her Monster Team” debuted in seventh place with $95,549, while awards season darling “The Brutalist” followed in eighth with $109,843.
