Kate Middleton has not been seen since Christmas as it emerges Princess of Wales is in hospital
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has been absent from public duties since Christmas Day, and Kensington Palace has now announced she is in hospital after planned surgery
The palace's statement read: "Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. Kate Middleton also filmed the Together At Christmas Carol Service last month (Image: PA)"She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private," the message continued. Earlier this month, Kate celebrated her 42nd birthday, but was thought to be enjoying a private day at home at Adelaide Cottage with her close family.
