Jon Stewart Helps Raise $25K for Shelter Where He Found Late Dog Dipper
Jon Stewart’s tearful tribute to his beloved dog Dipper went viral and Animal Haven, the shelter where he found the pup, has since seen an influx in donations
“In a world of good boys, he was the best,” Stewart, 61, said of the three-legged Dipper during the Monday, February 26, episode of The Daily Show. Over the past 20 years, celebrities including Whoopi Goldberg, Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Kimmel have hosted the Academy Awards. Lacey added that Stewart’s tribute has led to several individuals contacting the shelter to express interest in adoption and others purchasing items on Animal Haven’s Amazon wish list, including dog treats and blankets.
