Jodie Comer reveals she didn't think she had a maternal instinct but has unlocked a 'new version of herself' in her latest role as a mother in The End We Start From

The actress, 30, stars as Woman in the movie adaptation of Megan Hunter's novel which sees Jodie's character navigating motherhood for the first time during a terrifying apocalyptic flood.

The film begins with Jodie giving birth before she embarks on an extraordinary journey of strength and resilience as she raises her baby during the first year of his life during the climate crisis. Chatting with Emma Barnett during Woman's Hour on Thursday, the star admitted that while she didn't previously think she had a maternal instinct, the part allowed her to unlocked 'new version of herself.' A montage shows Mother and O's relationship developing but as just as it's revealed the couple are expecting their first child together, a climate crisis starts to occur, with houses and buildings beginning to become inhabitable due to rising water.
