Jack Black Says ‘I’m Ready’ for a ‘School of Rock’ Sequel, but Mike White Needs to Write It and ‘He’s Real Busy Right Now’ With ‘The White Lotus’
Jack Black will make a "School of Rock 2" as long as Mike White writes it, but he's busy with "The White Lotus" right now.
“I wish there’d be a ‘School of Rock 2 Electric Boogaloo,'” Black said, referencing the 1984 sequel to the dance musical “Breakin’.” The comedian added: “I’m ready.” Mike White, Sarah Silverman and Joan Cusack also starred in the film, while the child actors included future “iCarly” favorite Miranda Cosgrove. “In a weird way, it might be ‘Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny,’ because that’s the only movie that I wrote,” Black told People magazine last year.
