Jack Black Says He’s “Ready” to Make ‘School of Rock’ Sequel

The actor-comedian starred as Dewey Finn in the beloved 2003 musical comedy.

More than two decades after the beloved musical comedy, directed by Richard Linklater, premiered in 2003, the actor-comedian recently told JOE that he’s “ready” to reprise his role as energetic musician Dewey Finn. The film also starred Mike White, Joan Cusack, Adam Pascal, Lucas Papaelias, Chris Stack, Sarah Silverman and Miranda Cosgrove. While it doesn’t look like a follow-up film to School Of Rock will be in development anytime soon, Nickelodeon did create a TV show based on the movie, which ran for three seasons from 2016 to 2018.
