ITV Mr Bates vs The Post Office fans ‘blown away’ to find out star voiced surprising Harry Potter character for years
Toby Jones, who played Alan Bates in the widely-watched series Mr Bates vs The Post Office, has had a rather succesful career prior to his time on the popular TV show
Toby, 57, has starred in a number of popular films and TV shows, and has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Unvierse, the Harry Potter franchise, and The Hunger Games trilogy. He appeared as Dr. Arnim Zola in two Captain America films, and as Claudius Templesmith in The Hunger Games, but it's his Harry Potter role that has left fans shocked with some only recently disovering that he provided the voice for Dobby the house elf.
