In Canada: Blue Rodeo, Cowboy Junkies Sign ‘Fix the Tix’ Letter to U.S. Senators

Cowboy Junkies and Blue Rodeo sign the "Fix the Tix" letter to U.S. senators and more Canada industry news, including YouTube's support for artists.

“The current system is broken,” reads a new letter signed by over 250 artists, including Billie Eilish, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Cyndi Lauper, Lorde and more. Addressed to Maria Cantwell and Ted Cruz, the respective Chair and Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, & Transportation, the letter calls on the legislators to support the Fans First Act. “Marking tickets up is indicative of yet another layer in a broken system,” Canadian singer-songwriter Lauren Spear, who releases music as Le Ren and signed on to the letter, tells Billboard Canada.
