Ryan Reynolds has stuck to his wife Blake Lively's side like glue during her legal spat with her movie co-star. And I've seen up close just how strong the bond between them is, writes Molly Clayton.

Reynolds is resolute in his insistence that he and his wife are completely innocent in the bitter row and legal battle between Lively and her co-star in the hit film It Ends With Us, Justin Baldoni, released in August 2024. And in a bid to win over cross-Atlantic fans, last year his and Blake’s charity, Group Effort Initiative, teamed up with London film production studio Dimension to nurture under-represented talent in the UK entertainment industry. Simultaneously, Ryan also unveiled new stadium plans for Wrexham – a 5,500-seat stand which would allow the club to host international fixtures – which some fans saw as a bid to draw focus back to his work with the Welsh community.
