Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins is horrified as £700k pearl necklace owned by Marilyn Monroe falls apart live on air while she models it


The TV presenter, 48, was asked to model the late actress's 'priceless' necklace on Monday's show, after it sold at auction over the weekend for a huge amount of money.

Stunned silence filled the studio as the presenters showed their fear at having been involved in the necklace's demise - but it was soon revealed that the whole ordeal had been an April Fools prank. Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins was left horrified after a £7000,000 pearl necklace once owned by Marilyn Monroe fell apart live on air on Monday Marverine Cole, another journalist on the ITV show, said: 'We do have some breaking news, just to inform you that the pearl necklace we've had in the studio, you won't be surprised to know, is completely worthless.
