Eva Longoria set to star in Ryan Reynolds' new Welcome to Wrexham spin-off with Mexican football club she co-owns
The actress, 50, is an investor in the Mexican side Club Necaxa, which Ryan and Rob McElhenney also purchased a stake in last year.
Last month, Ryan told Wrexham fans he plans a long stay with the club as the celebrations continue following their unprecedented triple consecutive promotion. Jubilant fans stormed the pitch when promotion was confirmed as players celebrated alongside Hollywood duo and co-owners Ryan and Rob, with Blake Lively also jetting in to enjoy the scenes. They have overseen a move from from non-league to within reach of the Premier League amid huge publicity partly driven by the documentary series Welcome to Wrexham.
