Eminem Returns to the Stage 5 Days After the Death of Mom Debbie Nelson

Eminem skipped over a pointed lyric about mom Debbie Nelson while onstage, as he typically does when performing the song "Without Me."

Eminem returned to the stage for the first time since the death of his mother Debbie Nelson — and as he typically does in concert, opted to skip over a lyric that serves as a dig at his late mom. Over the years, Eminem has apologized to his mother through song for rapping about their troubled relationship, namely on the 2002 track “Cleanin’ Out My Closet,” which heavily criticizes Nelson and accuses her of neglect and abuse.
