Celebrity Bake Off's Sara Cox forced to apologise after star called four-letter word live on air

Sara Cox was forced to apologise to Radio 2 listeners after a caller branded a celebrity a very X-rated word live on air, during a seemingly-innocent phone in to her show

Now she is also taking part in Stand Up 2 Cancer's Great Celebrity Bake Off on Channel 4 and will be seen competing alongside Heartstopper star Joe Locke – who was hit by vile trolling – the Rev Richard Coles and comedian Adam Hills on Sunday night, 14 April. The 47 year old presenter was caught off guard during a seemingly innocent chat with a listener to her Radio 2 show, who called in to request the Queen hit Don't Stop Me Now, but then blurted out: "Because Matt Hancock's a c***," leading to an abrupt interjection. The Radio 2 caller was seemingly not a fan of MP Matt Hancock (Image: REX/Shutterstock)Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid found herself apologising, after a guest on the ITV show used an unsavoury term to describe the former health secretary.
