Celebrity Bake Off's Rev Richard Coles asked Phillip Schofield out on 'date' after death of husband

This Morning's former host Phillip Schofield was left stunned when he was asked out on a 'date' by Strictly Come Dancing star Reverend Richard Coles during a live radio interview

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, who is also a vicar, didn't hold back when he invited Phillip for some company during an interview on BBC Radio 4's Saturday Morning Live. The reverend is now taking part in Stand Up 2 Cancer's Great Celebrity Bake Off on Channel 4 and will be seen competing alongside Heartstopper star Joe Locke – who was hit by vile trolling – the Radio 2's Sara Cox and comedian Adam Hills on Sunday night, 14 April.
