Local, stat and federal authorities have thus far been mystified about the nature of the drones, with the White House saying Thursday that the objects do not appear to be of foreign origin, but their investigation. The situation reminded DeLonge, an expert on the subject of UFOs and UAPs, to similar mass sightings that happened in the 1960s — “There is a good chance that these things could potentially be ‘mimicking’ other aircraft,” the guitarist said — and shared documents from 1965 about a military base that “experienced a considerable number of reports pertaining to unidentified flying objects.”
