BBC The Apprentice's Alan Sugar's life off screen with rarely-seen wife and EastEnders star niece

As The Apprentice finally returns to screens on Thursday evening, let's take a look inside Lord Alan Sugar's life off screen from his humble beginnings to rarely-seen wife...

The 76 year old star has been making contestants' dreams come true since 2005 when he first launched the BB series, offering both a cash investment and his impressive business expertise to help them reach their full potential. The family originally lived in a council flat, and even as a young boy, Lord Sugar showed a keen interest in business, working at a greengrocers while studying at Brooke House Secondary School in Upper Clapton. Her character was sadly killed off alongside her on-screen sister Ronnie, Samantha Womack, bringing to an end her decade long stint at one of Walford’s most memorable residents.
