Barunson E&A Teams With Thai Studio GDH On Korea-Set Movie Version Of Hit Series ‘Delete’


South Korean producer Barunson E&A has announced it first collaboration with Thai studio GDH to co-produce a film version of hit Thai series Delete.

Barunson E&A, which produced Bong Joon-ho’s Oscar-winning Parasite, launched an international operations division in 2022 and has since invested in and handled world sales on several non-Korean titles, including Indoensia’s 13 Bombs and horror fantasy Respati and Vietnamese horror-comedy Don’t Cry, Butterfly. GDH is the studio behind major hits including How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, which has grossed more than $50m worldwide, and Bad Genius, which took $42m and led to multiple remakes. GDH CEO Jina Osothsilp said: “We hope that this unique concept of the Delete phone will invite all kinds of interpretations, making it relatable to a broader audience.
