Deadline understands that the company, which owns a raft of network affiliate broadcast stations and The Weather Channel, has cut more employees. However, sources have told Deadline that this is a new round and that employees have just been informed, impacting morale among certain units. Allen himself made noise earlier this year, claiming that he was interested in acquiring Paramount Global for $30B, having previously bid for the Paramount-owned BET and its related assets.
