A Place In The Sun viewers were left in tears as the show paid a special tribute to the host after his death aged 50.

The show, which followed Danni Menzies helping house hunters in Manilva, Spain , was dedicated to Jonnie at the start of the programme and at the end, this tribute aired Born in 1973, Jonnie Irwin grew up in Bitteswell, Leicestershire, and attended Lutterworth Grammar School and Community College before becoming an estate agent. Outside of presenting, he is also a commercial director for Judicare, which describes itself as a 'specialist law firm providing clients with legal advice on all matters related to overseas property'.
