‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ First Trailer: Ryan Reynolds Breaks Into the MCU With Plenty of R-Rated Jokes

After nearly six years, the end of Fox’s “X-Men” movies and an acquisition by Disney, Deadpool is finally back — and he’s arrived in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As for what audiences can expect from the film next year, “Deadpool 3” director Shawn Levy wrote an essay for Esquire, revealing that he included an homage to the “Star Wars” franchise in the upcoming movie. “The experience that I’m currently having with Marvel on ‘Deadpool’ is showing me firsthand that it is indeed really possible to feel empowered and personal about making a movie within a universe that is bigger than any one film,” he continued.
