Disney’s opening sizzle reel at CinemaCon featured a thrilling scene from the new Captain America movie, showing Sam Wilson under attack in the White House. The assault is triggered by music that activates sleeper agents, including Carl Lumbly’s Isaiah Bradley, who begins shooting at the gathered politicians and attempts to kill Ross. Following the conclusion of the Hollywood strikes in November 2023, Disney delayed the release of Captain America: New World Order by seven months to February 14, 2025, allowing time for necessary reshoots.
