Anthony Mackie On His MCU Roles: “There’s Only So Much You Can Do”
Anthony Mackie reflects on what it takes to be part of the MCU versus his 'Twisted Metal' role.
Anthony Mackie isn’t complaining about his Marvel career, which has seen him take on the roles of The Falcon and Captain America. In an interview with RadioTimes, Mackie was asked about working on Marvel projects vs. Peacock’s Twisted Metal, the latter where he plays John Doe. That’s different from the MCU, where a character has to “coincide with what Stan had already gave us.” Mackie allowed that “it’s an interesting juggle to be a part of that world.” In contrast, Twisted Metal was more like, ‘Let’s just have fun and figure it out as we go.
