Zoe Ball's statement in full as she returns to Radio 2 with heartfelt thanks to Scott Mills after six-week absence


BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball has returned to the airwaves after six weeks away from the Breakfast Show following her mysterious departure in August

After taking an unexpected break from the airwaves, Zoe Ball made her much-anticipated return to BBC Radio 2's Breakfast Show today. But today (Monday, September 23) Zoe, who reportedly earns around £950,000 a year for the high-profile radio gig, sounded refreshed and thrilled to be addressing the nation once again, saying: "What have I missed? While Zoe didn't offer a full explanation about her absence, she said earlier in the year she felt "bereft" following her mum's death, and her son Woody - who she shares with ex Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) - recently said he'd been 'stepping up' at home.
