Zoe Ball goes Christmas shopping ahead of her final week on BBC Radio 2 - after revealing daughter Nell was rushed to hospital following accident at home

Speaking to Radio 2 breakfast show listeners on Wednesday morning, the presenter - currently preparing for her last week at the station - told how daughter Nell needed a trip to A&E after dad Norman Cook, aka DJ Fatboy Slim, accidentally dropped a Christmas tree on her foot. Ball was the BBC's highest-paid on-air female presenter in 2023/24 with a salary between £950,000 and £954,999, ranking her second on the list of top-earning talent behind Gary Lineker, according to the corporation's annual report published in July.
