She released a self-titled studio album in 2013, but quickly decided to get out of the music industry because of 'bad contracts,' only occasionally recording new music for soundtracks since then.
She cemented her status as a pop culture phenomenon on the raunchy high school drama Euphoria, which also launched Sydney Sweeney's bombshell career. However she did occasionally dip a toe back into music as an art form, including the 2021 single Elliot's Song that she and Dominic Fike recorded for Euphoria. The song received an enthusiastic reaction from fans of Zendaya and the show, prompting the actress to post a heartfelt message thanking them for their response.
