The musical fantasy TV movie Descendants premiered in 2015 on the Disney Channel and centered on the children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella de Vil. A spin-off film titled Descendants: The Rise of Red was released earlier this month on the Disney+ streaming service and is scheduled to debut on Disney Channel on August 9.
