Zach Cregger’s ‘Resident Evil’ Reboot Eyes Austin Abrams to Star
The 'Euphoria' actor could reteam with his director of the upcoming horror movie 'Weapons' for the Sony Pictures and Constantin feature.
Euphoria actor Austin Abrams has emerged as the choice to star in Sony Pictures’ and Zach Cregger ’s reboot of horror action movie Resident Evil. The previous Resident Evil movies, based on the Capcom video games, were a mix of horror, sci-fi and action genres and followed the adventures of a heroine who fights zombies and the Umbrella Corporation, the bio warfare company that let loose the monsters. On the film side, he has appeared in Scary Stories We Tell in the Dark, Amazon YA romance Chemical Hearts and Netflix black comedy Do Revenge.
