YouTube Gets Its First NFL Game

The most popular streaming service of them all announced today that on Friday, September 5, it will exclusively air a regular-season game live from Brazil to its worldwide audience, for free and for the first time ever. “We are excited to expand our relationship with YouTube to bring this year’s Brazil game to a worldwide audience,” said Hans Schroeder, NFL executive vice-president of media distribution. The NFL has played ball with a few different streamers in recent years, placing select games on the paid tiers of services like Amazon and Netflix.
