Young Thug Co-Defendant Stabbed While Awaiting Jury Verdict in YSL Gang Trial

Deamonte 'Yak Gotti' Kendrick, one of Young Thug's co-defendants in the YSL gang trial, was stabbed in jail while awaiting a verdict in his case.

Deamonte “Yak Gotti” Kendrick, one of the remaining co-defendants in the still ongoing YSL gang trial, was stabbed in Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, according to his lawyer, Douglas Weinstein. The stabbing comes as Kendrick and Shannon Stillwell — the last remaining defendants in the current YSL gang trial — await a verdict from the jury. Stillwell was also stabbed during a jail fight in late 2023, causing one of the many delays that have plagued the YSL trial, which has become the longest criminal case in Georgia’s history.
