Young Sheldon star shares heartbreaking family update
Iain Armitage had some sad news to share on Tuesday. The 16-year-old Young Sheldon actor revealed that there was a death in the family that has left him heartbroken.
At that time, the teen actor, who plays a younger version of Jim Parsons’ character from The Big Band Theory, maintained he found out the series was on Netflix in the U.S. from a friend. While academically gifted, Sheldon lacks a full understanding of social cues and behaviors, while often showing a sense of superiority over everyone, which leads him to be oblivious to the effect on other people, including his family. The new series, focusing on the marriage of young parents Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan) and Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment), has already been renewed by CBS for a second season just this past February.
