You Recap: The (Im)prisoner’s Dilemma
Joe abandons his professed queen, Kate, to go to actual Queens with Bronte.
He leaves Kate a totally casual voice-mail, like, “Heyyy, babe, just wondering if Maddie has ever been taken, in the Liam Neeson tradition?” Our boy is slipping. Kate gets her hands just a liiiiittle dirty — if Reagan doesn’t drop her case against Henry, this humiliating news will be on the front page of the New York Post in the morning — and the two seem to reach a tentative truce. Of course Joe would have been better off pretending to be more disturbed by all of this, but he has visions of radical acceptance and so confesses to his beloved that his ability to “protect” his family (by being a serial killer) is “what makes me special.” Kate recoils, and I write, I hope your prenup is as ironclad as Reagan’s!
