YES Network, MSG Networks Back Gotham Sports App That Streams Yankees, Knicks, More
YES Network and MSG Networks will launch a joint venture streaming app that allows subscribers to watch New York Yankees, New York Knicks and more
Fans who are subscribers to YES or MSG Networks in their regional territories will receive The Gotham Sports App at no extra cost. Venu was set to debut before the launch of the next NFL season, but those plans have been scuttled, perhaps temporarily, by a court order suggesting the combination is anticompetitive. MSG Networks and YES in January launched Gotham Advanced Media and Entertainment, a joint venture that was to examine ways to monetize the two outlets’ streaming products.
