Ye Says He Was Drinking Prior to Controversial Antisemitic Tweet
Kanye West admitted he had been drinking Hennessy when he posted the highly offensive statement.
The Yeezy founder posted the hateful tweet in Oct. 2022, which read: “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.” The post, written in Hebrew, stated, “I sincerely apologise to the Jewish community for any ‘unintended outburst.’ I did not intend to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.” However, the apology has since been deleted. At the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, he made reference to his interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech in 2009, where he seemed to lump some of the blame on drinking Hennessy.
