Yasmin McDonald Joins CAA As Books Agent

Yasmin McDonald has come over to CAA to work as an Agent in the Books department.

Boasting a roster of esteemed authors, illustrators, screenwriters and directors, clients coming with her include Paul Murray ( The Bee Sting); John O’Farrell, co-writer of Chicken Run 2: Dawn Of The Nugget; JP Delaney ( The New Wife); Tom Gauld, graphic novelist and cartoonist for The New Yorker, The Guardian, New Scientist; and Lisa Mulcahy ( The Tourist, Lies We Tell), among others. In her 18-year career, McDonald has contributed to such successful adaptations as the BAFTA and Emmy-winning series A Very English Scandal, starring Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw, for the BBC/Amazon; The Dig, starring Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes, for Netflix; Earwig, which screened at the 2021 Toronto Film Festival and San Sebastian Film Festival; Love, Death + Robots for Netflix; The Girl Before, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and David Oyelowo, for the BBC/Max; That Christmas, an upcoming animated Christmas family film produced by Locksmith Animation, and distributed by Netflix; and a Mrs. Doubtfire stage musical, currently running on London’s West End and touring in the U.S. Notable examples include Killers of the Flower Moon, Leave the World Behind, American Fiction, Dumb Money, All the Light We Cannot See, The Morning Show, The Watcher, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Maid, and Where the Crawdads Sing.
