XYZ Films Renews Financing Deal With Film and TV Fund Management Company IPR.VC
Los Angeles-based independent studio XYZ Films has renewed its financing agreement with fund management company IPR.VC.
The agreement was set in 2019 and started an investment vehicle that has resulted in 20 productions in four years, including Matt Johnson’s 2023 Berlin and SXSW selection “ BlackBerry ” and upcoming Sundance premieres “Skywalkers: A Love Story,” a documentary directed by Jeff Zimbalist, and Steffen Haars and Flip Van der Kuil’s comedy “Krazy House,” starring Nick Frost and Alicia Silverstone. Established 2015, and with offices in Helsinki and London, IPR.VC recently revealed the first closing of its third and largest film and television production financing fund to date and hired Andrea Scarso, an entertainment financier who previously worked at Ingenious Media, as partner and investment director. They are trusted partners, rightly renowned for supporting creative talent to tell distinctive stories as illustrated by the strength and diversity of their upcoming slate.”
