Xander Schauffele Beats Scheffler and McIlroy to Win PGA Championship
Xander Schauffele has scored his first major championship victory by beating out Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy to win the PGA Championship
Schauffele, 30, achieved his first major championship victory by outperforming his opponents during the final round at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, May 19. The San Diego native started the round tied for co-lead with two-time major winner Collin Morikawa before defeating fierce competitors Bryson DeChambeau and Viktor Hovland. Us Weekly confirmed Scheffler was detained by the Louisville Metro Police after an accident involving a struck pedestrian led to local law enforcement stopping the road outside the Valhalla Golf Club.
