X Factor star's disappearance investigated as police issue new update
The last confirmed sighting of X Factor star Levi Davis was of him leaving an Irish pub in Barcelona on the night of 29 October 2022 after taking a boat from Ibiza with just £35 in his pocket and no change of clothes
The court investigation came to a standstill last year following an unsuccessful search by police divers in the port of Barcelona, prompted by fears that Levi was the man seen struggling in the water by a passenger cruise liner crew. After a pub CCTV sighting, four passengers from the MSC Bellissima cruise liner, which arrived in Barcelona about eight hours later, reported seeing a man at sea wearing a similar light-coloured top to Levi and calling out for help in English. Catalan detectives taking over the case informed the judge about their intensive hunt, while early rumours suggested Levi was £100,000 in debt to Somali criminals.
