Reigns — born Leati Joseph Anoaʻi and known as the “Original Tribal Chief” — is a member of the legendary Anoa’i family, a group that has birthed a slew of pro wrestlers dating back to the 1960s. Since then, the family has shifted and grown and spawned dozens of brothers, sisters, cousins and other other famous relatives who have graced the world of professional wrestling to varying degrees of success. Maiva was a professional wrestler and stunt actor who made a blood pact with his friend, Amituana’i Anoa’i, to blend their families together.
