Balenciaga released a statement saying: 'Inspired by vintage fanclub merchandise, the series features aged figurative artwork that pays tribute to the Ambassadors. 'Their printed signature on the t-shirt back replicates a permanent marker autograph on long-loved fan memorabilia, evoking the feel of a personally signed keepsake from one's favourite actress or musician.' The news of Nicole's appointment of ambassador to the brand sparked backlash among her social media followers, many of whom left comments expressing their disappointment.
