Wiz Khalifa Gets Emotional During NPR Tiny Desk Performance

Wiz Khalifa performed songs from 'Kush and Orange Juice' and its sequel during NPR Tiny Desk.

Wiz Khalifa couldn’t hold back his tears when he saw some of his family in the crowd during his NPR Tiny Desk performance. Wearing a Snoop Dogg-referencing shirt, Khalifa opened the performance with a jazzy rendition of “Red Eye,” driven by a groovy bass and a full live band. Following the rap star’s performance of “Up” from 2010’s Kush & Orange Juice, he ended with “Crime Bud and Women,” which led to him tearing up as he looked into the crowd to see several friends and family members, including his father, according to NPR.
