Wimbledon winner gives birth to first baby – during the Championships
Two-time Wimbledon champion, Petra Kvitová, has welcomed her first child with her husband and tennis coach Jiří Vaněk - and the timing couldn't have been more perfect!
Sharing the exciting news of their arrival, the official Wimbledon Instagram account posted an adorable snap of Petra and Jiří's bundle of joy. Fellow tennis stars such as Belinda Bencic, Viktorija Golubic and Kiki Bertens were quick to congratulate the couple, while they were also flooded with well-wishers underneath the Wimbledon post from fans. She added the caption: "On the first day of 2024 I wanted to wish you a happy new year and share the exciting news that Jiri and I will be welcoming a baby into our family this summer!"
