Wilson Phillips singer Carnie Wilson, 56, makes rare appearance with daughter Lola, 19, on American Idol


Carnie Wilson was on hand to support her daughter Lola Bonfiglio as she auditioned for American Idol. Lola, 19, reunited two-thirds of Wilson Phillips to sing Hold On for her audition.

Carnie, 56, celebrated the moment on Instagram, sharing a photo of her daughter receiving the golden ticket that advances her to the Hollywood rounds of competition. Carine talked about her daughter's big moment in the spotlight with ET, saying she felt Idol was the pefect fit because it gives the contestants such a wide variety of musical artists to work with. 'Lola is not this big Broadway-type singer, but she’s got something so honest and pure and lovely -- sort of like this Joni Mitchell, Kacey Musgraves type of thing,' Carnie told the outlet.
